CTS Eventim has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in software and hardware publisher Simply-X, which specializes in event management solutions.
Simply-X’s portfolio includes “control, payment, ordering and customer loyalty solutions” and accompanying hardware such as reading pedestals and turnstiles. The German company relies on more than 20 years of experience in the field.
Venues currently using Simply-X technology include Hockenheimring, home of Rock am Ring, Olympic Stadium in Berlin, home of Lollapalooza Germany, and Deutsche Bank Park stadium in Frankfurt.
“Simply-X enhances CTS Eventim’s existing offering in the access control segment, EVENTIM.Access,” according to the announcement.
Alexander Ruoff, Chief Operating Officer of CTS Eventim, said, “We are delighted to be able to offer our customers a one-stop-shop for event organization that is now even more comprehensive than before. In addition, we have once again extended our value chain.

At the same time, Simply-X will retain its independence so that it can continue to support other partners on their digitization journey.
