The Delhi-based event management company, which came under the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) scanner following the drug seizure aboard the luxurious Mumbai cruise, has undergone several changes in its management in less than a year.

The event company, Namas’cray Experience Private Limited was initially incorporated under the name of Caneplus Trading Private Limited on October 13, 2020.

According to official documents reviewed by India Today TV, in March earlier this year, the company’s official address was changed from Bawana in Delhi to a rented house in Chattarpur, Delhi. Around the same time, the name of the company changed from Caneplus Trading Private Limited to Namas’cray Experience Private Limited. That same month, the two founding directors and shareholders, Sonia Rani and Reena, resigned from the board for “personal reasons” and new directors joined the board to manage its operations.

The three new Delhi-based administrators were New Friend’s Colony resident, businessman Aman Kumar, Janakpuri resident Gopalji Anand and Chhattarpur resident Arjun Jain. However, within four months, Aman resigned from the board on July 22, while Arjun stepped down as a director on August 24, earlier this year. This was likely due to their involvement in a case involving one of their other companies named White Fox India.

The Delhi Police Economic Offense Wing (EOW) said the two were arrested on August 14, following a complaint over questionable promises to host a music concert by international pop artist Justin Bieber . According to the EOW, Jain and Kumar would have taken an investment of Rs 5 crore and promised a lucrative return. However, they allegedly defrauded the money for their personal use and deceived the complainant.

While Arjun and Aman resigned from Nams’cray Experience, another partner, Gopalji Anand, remained on the board. The company was joined by another director named Samir Sehgal. The company has not yet filed a formal report on any change from its original shareholding.

Arjun Jain, 32, who was allegedly involved in organizing the cruise that was raided by the NCB on Saturday night, said he was co-founder of Namas’cray. It is also associated with the Grub Fest; a food festival, Kikoba, a modern Asian restaurant in Vasant Vihar in Delhi, as well as Dadel, a concept bar in Vasant Vihar in Delhi.

Arjun and Aman have also been partnered with Eezaroo, an app that runs a digital culinary community. It offers customers and chefs a platform to buy and sell specially selected food products. According to their observations, Aman and Arjun are associated with at least half a dozen companies in hospitality, event management and content production services. The two did not respond to phone calls made by India Today TV.
